ROYAL ACADEMY OF

Classes are arranged for

ACROBATICS
Our Acrobatic arts classes are based on a safe and effective progressions working on Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering and Tumbling. The syllabus has simple and thoughtful progressions which take the beginner pre-school child from basic log rolls to the advanced dancer tumbling effortlessly across the stage.


UNDER 5’s

A fun but disciplined movement class with a  bias towards Classical Ballet.

The children learn all the basic dance moves and start to memorise very basic classical French Terminology, using imagination and imagery.


CHILDREN

Children are encouraged to take part in all Three disciplines - Classical Ballet, Tap and Modern Jazz, whilst following a syllabus and also to take Examinations and Medal tests.


STUDENTS

Higher Grades and Elementary Major Syllabus the Royal Academy of dancing are studied by students wishing to follow a career in the Dancing World and also for those who just enjoy dance as a hobby.


ADULTS

These classes are for FUN and FITNESS. For all ages and ability to learn basic steps and put them together in routines.


BOYS

Boys are always welcome in the school, they take part in the normal lessons, but occasionally we try have a special ’Boys Day’, with not a girl in sight!


TEENAGE BEGINNERS

Teenagers who have never danced before or who are returning after a break are always welcome to attend on Saturday mornings or the Monday evening classes , which are fun and energetic classes in Tap and Modern.


SPEECH & DRAMA

Boys and Girls from the age of 8 to 14 work towards medals and examinations in Musical Theatre, Speech and Singing. The classes are fun filled and action packed with character work, mime, improvisation, choral speaking and video & microphone technique.


NATIONAL DANCE

A lively style of dance which is part of the classical ballet class. Covering dances, style, music and background knowledge of different countries worldwide. -  Russian, Danish, French and English are just a few.


SINGING

Singing is part of the Speech, Drama and Musical Theatre Class. Occasionally workshops are arranged for juniors and seniors to work on vocal technique, breathing and songs from the shows.


SPANISH

Traditional Spanish and Flamenco dance is studied. Classes cover basic footwork, arms, rhythms,
choreography and castanets. Based on the Spanish Dance Society Syllabus.
